In this show you hear two old friends and colleagues talk about the early beginnings of functional medicine. And the nutraceutical industry.

In this show you will learn:

  • How and why, Jonathan Rothchild decided to open up one of the first nutraceutical companies. And why cater to ultra-sensitive person and unique needs.
  • Fat soluble thiamin, why it is so helpful with cognitive issues.
  • Time-release niacin and its role in keeping lipids safe.

You will want to buy only organic citrus at the moment. Why?

Two hormone-disrupting fungicides “imazalil” and “thiabendazole were detected on nearly 90 percent of non-organic citrus fruit samples in tests commissioned by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).  Both chemicals are linked to higher incidences of childhood cancers.

The highest levels of imazalil and thiabendazole were found on mandarins, including clementine’s, followed by oranges and then grapefruit.

You will want to mainly eat organic kale. Why? Inorganic kale has now been put third on the list of the EWG’s dirty dozen worst polluting foods.
