Breast cancer was the most common cancer in women in 157 of 185 countries in 2022.
Breast cancer occurs in every country in the world.
More breast cancer statistics:
- In 2022, breast cancer caused 670,000 deaths globally.
- About half of breast cancers occur in women with no specific risk factors other than age and sex. But this is because many providers don’t appreciate how many risk factors we do know about, which will be listed below.
- Men account for 0.5–1% of breast cancer cases.
- Globally, breast cancer accounts for one in four of all cancers in women.
- Worldwide breast cancer incidence has increased by more than 20% since 2008.
- Worldwide mortality has increased by 14%.
- Since 2016 breast cancer is occurring in younger women, which means under 50 years of age.
In the United States, breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women, and the second leading cause of cancer death among women.
How to reduce risks that most docs don’t mention?
There are no guarantees, but how we live “most” of the time dictates our future “much” of the time.
- Filter water, especially in the shower. Ideally, in the whole house. Avoiding fluoride, chlorine, and bromide is helpful. These rinse iodine out of the body. Iodine protects the normal architecture and healing of breast tissue. In both genders. And even helps eradicate breast cancer cells.
- Measure testosterone and estrone. Lower androgens (testosterone and DHEA and higher estrone) often from extra fat cells – puts breast tissues at risk. This comes from the amazing, exhaustive work of Drs. R L. Glaser, C Dimitrakakis.
- Try to keep weight and thus fat cell burden closer to healthier levels.
- Regularly eat blue/purple/black foods rich in anthocyanins. These protect against excessive inflammation and even help the body eradicate cancer cells.
- Tend to your biome. Eat diverse foods. Fermented foods. A healthy gut biome makes healthier breast biomes.
- Live and eat a lifestyle (fiber + exercise) that promotes 2 bowel movements a day. Slower transit time (constipation) is linked to more abnormal breast cells.
- Take shoes off at the front door, as endocrine-disrupting compounds are in dust and carried throughout the house easily. The last 1/3rd of Hormone Deception takes you by the hand and helps you learn how to reduce endocrine disruption exposure in your home, office & food cart.
- Dust regularly.
- Filter home air with high-end air filters.
- Avoid perfumes with phthalates. (Use essential oils).
- Avoid commercial lipstick with potentially breast “dinging” dyes and heavy metals. Use organic lipstick. We “eat” what is on our lips.
- Avoid synthetic hormones in oral contraceptive pills or IUDs.
- Avoid microplastics as much as possible, and use alternative toothbrushes. Try to purchase food/liquids in glass as much as possible.
- Do not microwave in plastic.
- Exercise to encourage your muscles to make “hope” molecules, myokines, that are whole body protective.
- Keep Vitamin D levels between 50-60 to 80 ng/mL.
- At least once/yr. test (if necessary/treat) for “hidden” infections such as candidiasis, viral loads such as EBV or CMV, etc., as many tumors have pathogenic microbes at their core.
- Test hormones (at least once/decade after puberty and yearly in peri and post and adropausal years) to track/maintain hormone healthy balance and serum progesterone at protective levels. I have written on this extensively before in this Substack.
- Take my new supplements, Receptor Detox one AM and PM, Hormone Balance, and Protect 2/d with full meals, as these contain sophisticated formulas and very high-end botanicals to protect breast tissue. And tamp down nasty stem cells.
- Do Detox Weekends at least once/month = Receptor Detox 4 twice a day with a full meal, eat organically, hydrate. This is an easy but powerful detox that is highly protective. Get into detoxing habits to keep “clearing out” potential breast nasty endocrine-disrupting molecules. Consider Detox Weekends several times a month. For at least 6 months. This is a deeper detox dive. Plus, it promotes great-looking skin!
- Higher risk history: If you were on synthetic contraceptives for a number of years and also have a history of severe constipation for lengthy periods, and especially if you began menstruating at a younger age, like 8 to 11 years, or have no children, these contribute to a high-risk formula.
- Soy isoflavones are extremely breast protective. There is no longer ANY debate.
- If you worry about thyroid health, adding in iodine as part of daily supplementation gives extra thyroid protection. (My products each contain iodine.) If you take 2 Receptor Detox and 4 Hormone Balance and Protect, the amount necessary if you are dealing with health problems, like lumpy, bumpy breast tissue, you get the dose that 6 studies showed cleared fibrocystic breasts in several months.
- Eat organic as much as possible. Pesticides, herbicides, etc., potentially ding biomes and hormones.
- Avoid excess sugar and ultra-processed foods, as cancer cells use sugar as fuel.
Why it Matters
Imagine this: You’re not just surviving – you’re thriving! By making informed choices about your lifestyle, hormones, and overall health, you’re actively reducing your breast cancer risk. It’s empowering, and it’s within your reach.
Stay well, and remember – your daily choices make a difference!
